The information technology (IT) industry is growing at an exponential rate. From computer softwares, hardwares, information systems and data management, to multimedia, the Internet, online marketing, network technologies, and the recent integration of other technologies such as mobile phone and television, the industry is definitely thriving and employment rising.

it matters - short for information technology matters –  is about the IT industry giving back to society.  Our vision is a society in which all future generations, especially the vulnerable groups of young people, are given equal opportunities to succeed.

As a corporate foundation of Clicking Labs Incorporated, itmatters will strive to:

• Empower the future generation, especially the vulnerable groups of young people, through a combination of projects and educational programs.
• Help young teenagers get college and work ready by helping them gain 3 essential skills – IT, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
• Empower all willing local CEBU NGOs through information technology initiatives.
• Create a network of support from CEBU’s growing information technology industry.

it matters is currently at its formation stage as we develop projects-level strategies and a great project-grounded organizational structure. With support from within the NGO community and the information technology industry we will move forward towards consolidation, implementing our multi-project/program strategy, and eventually with dedication, we will reach our goal of institutionalization.

At this juncture in time – it matters‘ humble beginnings – passion, determination and confidence in our vision and mission will enable us to give back to the community ofCebu. With growing support and hard work, together we will be able to help other communities in thePhilippines.
